음, man sed를 좀 해보셨으면 좋았을 텐데 말이죠…

/^$/ d
'

하시면 됩니다.

물론 이건 매뉴얼에도 나옵니다. (from Solaris)

This sed script simulates the BSD cat -s command, squeezing
excess blank lines from standard input.
