[ CnUnix ] in KIDS 글 쓴 이(By): guest (guest) <211.38.42.81> 날 짜 (Date): 2002년 7월 30일 화요일 오후 06시 12분 29초 제 목(Title): 프로그램의 메모리 사용량 증가.. 리눅스에서 C로 프로그램을 작성했는데 몇 시간동안 계속 실행시켜 놓은 후 메모리 사용량(top 명령으로..)을 보면 꾸준히 증가하고 있습니다. malloc을 쓰는 부분을 보면 다른데로 분기하는 데도 없고 소스상으로는 확실히 free()를 실행시킵니다. (함수 중간에 return이 없고 종료전에 free()를 호출하니...) 그런데도 계속 메모리 사용률이 증가하는 이유가 뭘까요? 아래와 같은 코드가 문제가 될까요? char *str_ret() { static char buf[512]; ... return buf; } ... func2() { char *test; .... test=str_ret(); ... } 이때 func2가 여러번 호출되면 메모리가 샐까요? A static can only be accessed from the function in which it was declared, like a local variable. The static variable is not destroyed on exit from the function, instead its value is preserved, and becomes available again when the function is next called. Static variables are declared as local variables, but the declaration is preceeded by the word static. static int counter; Static variables can be initialised as normal, the initialisation is performed once only, when the program starts up. --- static은 local scope 를 갖지만, 그 메모리의 release는 exit 순간입니다. 또한 복수번 call 되었다고 해서, 계속 잡히는 것이 아니라, exit 순간까지 동일한 영역이 유지되지요. --- 저 function을 계속 fork() 하신후 실행하십니까? 자료가 부족스러운듯... :) 참고로 저의 미천한 소견으로, thread 에선 static 공간이 공유되서 오히려 synchronization이 필요하다고 봅니다. It is currently implemented as an array of counted byte strings. (You cannot treat these as null-terminated strings if field values may contain binary data, because such values may contain null bytes internally.) Rows are obtained by calling mysql_fetch_row(). -- fetch_row()는 DB의 row를 그대로 가져오는 역할을 하지요. 여기서 적절한 cast 가 필요하고... (아마 요놈은 적절히 get하는 게 있겠지요.) 그리고 그런 resultset에 대한 release는 다음의 function에 명시되어 있습니다. -- mysql_free_result() Frees memory used by a result set. -- free 안해줘도 된다! 라는 말이 없으면 free()해주는 게 상식일 것 같습니다. 데이터 형 선언해주고 정의를 내렸다고 memory 잡히는 것은 아닐테고, 그러니 천 상 내부적인 logic은 malloc()/free() 일 것 같습니다. -- After you are done with a result set, call mysql_free_result() to free the memory used for it. mysql_free_result() void mysql_free_result(MYSQL_RES *result) Description Frees the memory allocated for a result set by mysql_store_result(), mysql_use_result(), mysql_list_dbs(), etc. When you are done with a result set, you must free the memory it uses by calling mysql_free_result(). [ CnUnix ] in KIDS 글 쓴 이(By): terzeron (microkid) 날 짜 (Date): 2002년 7월 31일 수요일 오전 09시 57분 38초 제 목(Title): Re: 프로그램의 메모리 사용량 증가.. mysqlclient 라이브러리로 API 프로그래밍을 하셨다면 mysql_store_result()나 mysql_use_result(), mysql_list_dbs()등의 함수 사용 이후에 mysql_free_result()를 해주셔야 합니다. static은 flesh님께서도 말씀하셨다시피 문제없는 것 같습니다. 그리고 -g 옵션을 켜고 컴파일하신 다음에 gdb 안에서 실행해서 문제가 생기는 정확한 위치를 찾아보시는 것이 문제 해결의 실마리가 될 것 같습니다.
